Quakers looking for four straight home wins in local derby

But Moors arrive in good form as well

This Saturday we look to make it four straight wins at home when we return to Blackwell Meadows for our home game against neighbours Spennymoor Town.

Last week’s 0-0 draw at Alfreton Town has left us 13th in the league table, eight points off the playoffs and seven ahead of the bottom three.

It was our second clean sheet in a row following our 3-0 win against Kidderminster Harriers the game prior.

Spennymoor come into the game on the back of on an impressive 3-0 victory over National Premier Sutton United on Saturday in the FA Trophy. They have been rewarded with a home tie in the last 16 against Telford United.

Our meeting earlier on this season saw Moors snatch a last minute equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw after we had led following goals from Reece Styche and Stephen Thompson.

Two former Quakers are still playing a big part at the Brewery Field, Rom Ramshaw and Jamie Chandler. Striker Glen Taylor is the league’s top scorer and he bagged another two in the Trophy last weekend as well.

Spennymoor’s previous visit to Blackwell Meadows ended in a 1-1 draw early last season when Gary Brown scored our goal.
