Quakers Make Another Top Quality Signing
The Board of Darlington Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of defender Ian Watson from Blyth Spartans.
Watson signed for Spartans in August 2013, joining from Northern League club Whitley Bay. He made his debut at home to Matlock Town. Last season at Blyth Ian made forty four appearances, scoring once.
Martin Gray has been tracking the progress of Ian Watson for some time and is excited by what he brings to the squad. Martin said, “Ian is a player I’ve had my eye on for a while now and I’m pleased to be bringing him in. He will improve the quality of our squad and he will excite the supporters with his style of play”.
