Quakers sign centre half Brandon Taylor

Former Sunderland player joins Quakers

Darlington have today signed centre half Brandon Taylor following his release by Sunderland.

22 year old Brandon started his career in the Sunderland Academy as an 8 year old, and played through all the age groups to be a regular in their Premier Reserve side.

He also made six appearances for the first team in the Checkatrade Trophy and FA Cup.

However, a change of manager led to him being left out of the first team picture, and he was released in the summer.

Darlington manager Alun Armstrong said; “Brandon is a very good centre half, and will certainly help us in that position. He had trials at a couple of clubs, and then decided to come to us. He knows some of our lads, which helped.”

We would like to welcome Brandon to the club, and wish him every success with us.
