Darlington u15 sponsored by Baltic Training solutions and Billinghurst George & partners progressed into the 3rd round of the league cup away to Lumley.

In a game played in horrendous weather conditions Darlington were the dominant force from the off and good efforts from Adam Bearpark, Joe Bettridge and Harry Noble kept the Lumley keeper busy but the game went in at half time 0-0.

The second half echoed the first with Darlington moving the ball around and denying Lumley space .

Darlington were rewarded for their possession when Harry Noble played a defence splitting pace to Robbie Lee who coolly slotted home from 12 yards to give Darlington the lead. Darlington continued to probe and move the ball quickly and after great work by Harry Hobbs ,Jamie Ward set up Robbie Lee who chipped the keeper from 18 yards to give him his second goal and Darlington a 2-0 lead.

Against the run of play Lumley were awarded a very dubious penalty when it seemed that Adam Lamb had won the ball fairly, and it was converted to make it 2-1 .

With the game entering the final minutes Darlington grabbed their 3rd goal when Harry Noble feed Adam Bearpark inside the box and the striker made no mistake from 8 yards.

Overall a pleasing first performance in horrendous conditions for new manager Jamie Tunstall.
