Some info on Friday night's friendly opponents
Here’s some info about our friendly opponents, Harrogate Town, whom we play on Friday night at Wetherby Road, kick off 7.30pm.
Harrogate were promoted from our division in season 2017-18 as play off winners behind champions Salford.
Last season, they finished sixth in the National League table, but lost to Fylde in the play offs.
In the summer, they have signed striker Sam Jones from Shrewsbury, defender George Smith from Chesterfield, veteran striker Jon Stead from Notts County, defender Will Smith from Barnsley (who was at Darlington last season), midfielder Brendan Kiernan from Welling, defender Connor Hall from Brackley, and midfielder Scott Brown from Accrington Stanley.
With Will Smith’s signing, Harrogate now have three former Darlington players in their ranks, the others being Mark Beck and Josh Falkingham.
We have received the following information from Harrogate about the game.
The turnstiles will be open from 6.30pm.
Supporters’ entry is via cash payment at the turnstile. There is no access to the 1919 bar for Darlington supporters. Non alcoholic refreshments, hot and cold, along with a range of food will be available within the away section.
The Stadium is a completely No Smoking Zone
