Club officials are delighted with sales of the club's latest book "Darlo's on the Up -- the story of six successful Darlington FC promotion campaigns."

Less than a fortnight after the launch, the club shop almost sold out of stock on the premises on Wednesday, and had to quickly arrange replenishment from author Ray Simpson.

"Sales have got off to a great start," said chief executive officer Dave Mills. "It shows how popular the book is, and how much people appreciate nostalgia. Hopefully people will keep on buying it, not just for themselves, but also as Christmas presents for others."

The club has bought a limited number, and officials are hopeful that the book will virtually sell out before Christmas. All proceeds from the book are going to the club.

The book costs £12, and is available from Quaker Retail and on line. The club is hoping to announce another stockist very soon.
