Saturday’s home game with Stamford has been switched to the Brewery Field at Spennymoor because Heritage Park is still waterlogged.

A referee has inspected Heritage Park this morning and declared the pitch unplayable because of the heavy rain earlier in the week, and so Spennymoor have kindly agreed to stage the game at the Brewery Field.

Darlington Football Club would again like to thank Spennymoor chairman Brad Groves and the staff of Spennymoor for their help in allowing us to stage the game there, as well as Alan Alcock at the league, and our opponents Stamford.

The turnstiles will be open from 1.30pm. Please note that unfortunately in the circumstances season ticket holders cannot be guaranteed a seat, and therefore our recommendation is that you arrive at the ground early. Please also be considerate when asked to give up a seat for those with greater needs.

All fans are asked to respect the surrounding areas, and show consideration to neighbouring residents, so therefore we recommend that you park in the town centre, a five minute walk to the ground. The local police teams may ticket cars that are illegally or inconsiderately parked.

The main Spennymoor club bar will be open from 1.30pm but obviously space is limited.

There will be a refreshment area, with hot drinks and food available inside and from the side window.

Spennymoor season ticket holders will have free entry to the game, on production of their Spennymoor season ticket.

Again, thank you for your understanding and patience with this matter.

Why not bring a friend to Saturday’s game? The atmosphere against Skelmersdale was fantastic on Tuesday night, and it would be great for the same again as Quakers continue their promotion drive.
