πŸ”₯ Match Preview

Darlo look to reignite their playoff push when they welcome Leamington to Blackwell Meadows on Saturday.

The Quakers come into this game after a 2-0 loss on Tuesday night to Buxton, where, after looking really strong in the first half, they ultimately couldn’t capitalise.

This season at Blackwell Meadows, Darlington, have been a hard team to beat, with only five losses in 17 games, seven wins, and five draws, with 34 goals scored and 25 conceded, which has gained the Quakers 26 points.

Darlington’s opponents, Leamington, currently sit bottom of the table in 24th place with five wins and eight draws in 36 games with 27 goals scored and 66 conceded for a total of 23 points.

The Brakes come into this game after a 5-1 loss away to Hereford, where, after scoring first through Frank Tattum, Hereford hit back to score five.

Away from home, Leamington have won one game all season in 19 away games and have scored 13 goals and conceded 42 for a total of 8 points.

The last time the two teams met was back in October, when the Quakers walked out 1-0 winners away from home thanks to a Jack Maskell goal late in the game. The last time Leamington came to Blackwell Meadows, the Quakers won 1-0 with a goal from Will Hatfield.

πŸ“°TEAM NEWS

Will Hatfield is out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury.

Paddy McLaughlin is expected to return

πŸ‘€ Player Spotlight

Young striker Frank Tattum has three goals in three games for The Brakes as he looks to spearhead their survival against relegation, including a last-minute equaliser against league high-flyers AFC Fylde.

Max Brogan has also been a good addition to Leamington after he came in on loan from Scunthorpe United. He has three goals in 13 games, including an audacious halfway line goal against Macclesfield, but he hasn’t scored in 8 games.

This week, they announced the loan signing of Luca Alonzi from Boston United.

On Wednesday, they announced Scott Easterlow as their new manager.

They include former Darlington player Joe Clarke in their squad
