The latest action from our division
We picked up our third win of the season away to FC United of Manchester on Saturday thanks to a Harvey Saunders double. The 2-1 victory saw us move up to 16th in the table four points ahead of the bottom three.
Chorley remain clear at the top but had to rescue a late point at fifth place Telford. Henry Cowans scored for the hosts in the first minute, before Josh Wilson levelled seven minutes from time for the league leaders.
Kidderminster Harriers picked up a huge late win at Bradford Park Avenue. Conor Branson put Bradford ahead after an hour. However, a quick fire double in the last ten minutes from Edward Williams gave Harriers the 2-1 win and kept them second in the table.
Spennymoor are third after a thumping win at home to Ashton United. The Brewers dominated from the word go and were 3-0 ahead at the break thanks to James Curtis, Shane Henry and Mark Anderson. Andrew Johnson and Adam Boyes added further goals in the second half as Spennymoor ran out 5-0 winners.
Our next opponents Boston United won 4-0 at home to Blyth Spartans. Greg Smith gave the Pilgrims the early lead, with further goals in the second period from Nicholas Walker, Gavin Allott and Bradley Abbott sealing the win.
York City are only outside the top seven on goal difference after coming from behind at second bottom Southport. Dion Charles put Port ahead after just eight minutes, with Jordan Burrow levelling before the break. However, Simon Heslop scored a late winner for York with just seven minutes to go.
Brackley would have finished the day fourth had they won at Guiseley, but are ninth after a 2-1 defeat. Kingsley James put the hosts ahead with Luke Fairlamb bringing Brackley level just two minutes later. Guiseley though picked up all the points thanks to a goal two minutes from time through Paul Clayton.
Stockport County are midtable after drawing at home to Hereford who have slipped in recent weeks. Calvin Dinsley put the Bulls ahead before Euan Mulhern earned a point for County late on.
Altrincham are only one point behind Alfreton after beating them 3-1. Owen Dale, Max Harrop and Jordan Hulme all scored in the first 25 minutes for Alty, with Richard Peniket scoring a consolation in the second half.
In the final game of the day an early goal was all that separated Leamington and Curzon Ashton. Adam Morgan scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after five minutes.
