The latest action from our division

We kept our second clean sheet in a row as we drew 0-0 away to Southport. Goalkeeper Jonny Maddison was the hero as he saved a second half Southport penalty.

Chorley continued their near perfect start of the season with a 3-1 victory at home to Alfreton as they moved nine points clear at the top of the table. Matthew Challoner and Adam Blakeman put the hosts two ahead before Bobby Johnson pulled one back for the visitors. However, Blakeman sealed the victory with his second on the hour mark.

Kidderminster Harriers moved up to second with an impressive 3-0 win away at York City. Edward Williams scored twice for Harriers in the first half with Joe Ironside getting the third shortly after half time.

Telford are third despite having to settle for a point at home to Stockport County. Connor Dimaio put County ahead with Henry Cowans scoring a late equaliser for Telford.

Bradford Park Avenue are fourth, but fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Altrincham. Thomas Peers put the visitors ahead after just six minutes before goals either side of half time from Shane Killock and Conor Branson put the visitors ahead. However, the lead was short lived as two quick fire goals from John Johnston and Max Harrop gave Alty the points.

Spennymoor Town moved up to fifth place after a 3-1 success over Nuneaton. Glen Taylor and Dior Angus both scored penalties inside the opening five minutes of the game for either side. However, a Rob Ramshaw strike right on half-time and a 57th minute Andrew Johnson goal gave the Brewers the points.

Brackley Town occupies the final play-off spot after a 1-1 draw with Curzon Ashton. James Armson put Brackley ahead, with Oliver Crankshaw earning a point for the Nash late on.

At the other end of the table FC United remain second bottom after they lost 3-0 at Guiseley who moved up to tenth place. William Hatfield gave them the lead, with Rowan Liburd scoring twice in the second half to secure victory.

Blyth Spartans are now only outside the bottom three on goal difference after a 2-0 home loss to Leamington who sit eighth.  Jack Edwards opened the scoring after five minutes, with Kieran Dunbar doubling the lead.

Chester continued to move up the table with a 2-0 win at Boston United. Steven Howson and Daniel Mooney both scored early in the second half for Chester.

In the final game of the week Ashton United moved away from immediate danger with a 2-0 success at Hereford. Matthew Chadwick scored the two goals within five first half minutes of each other.
