Sunderland Academy of Light 4 Darlington Under 15s 1
Big well done to the Quaker U15s making the trip to the Academy of Light to play Sunderland 15s. Although we got beat 4-1 we competed really well and were unlucky not to get more out of the game missing 3 clear cut chances. Sunderland played their top players tonight and the same team has recently turned over some higher age groups by large deficits. They've invited us back up in a couple of weeks and loved the competitiveness of the game. Well done Darlo

U10s match report at Brompton
Darlington lined up with Aston Newell in defence, Harry Coley, Ben Furrey, Lincoln Newell and captain Will Coxon across the middle with Issac Marr the lone striker.
The opening minutes were end to end as Brompton were keen to make an impression, but Darlington struck first when Harry Coley fired home with a clever finish after the ball fell lose to him on the edge of the box.
However Brompton were level with a superb goal just before half time.
Will Coxon claimed a quick hat trick, the pick of the goals being an outside of the boot finish across goal to the top left corner. A very well taken hat trick.
Man of the match went to Will Coxon for his second half performance and goals.
The U10s go again this weekend away to Billingham Synthonia.
