Vote for the Darlington FC home shirt for the 2025/26 season!

Four options to pick from

Your chance to decide!

It’s that time again! We're inviting our fantastic fans to vote for the home shirt which our players will wear during the 2025-26 season. We have worked with partner Macron to produce these exclusive kit options.

Voting is in two stages

The first stage is to decide which two shirts of the four should go through to the final. This vote is open from 6pm today to 6pm Sunday.

The second stage will be a vote on which of the final two we should adopt for next season’s home kit - that vote will be open between 6pm Monday 10th to 6pm Wednesday 12th February.

The vote is open to all fans with a YourClub account.

Hoop / non-hoop alternation

Supporters may recall, that following a Shirt Consultation Survey in October 2021, to balance tradition with variety, we’ve committed to a rotational approach:

Home kits alternate between hooped and non-hooped designs, where we will have one ‘non-hooped’ season over a four-season period. Away kits feature a hooped design in the season when the home kit is non-hooped.

This rotational strategy ensures that the club’s heritage remains visible while allowing fresh and distinctive designs to represent Darlington FC on and off the pitch.

Therefore, next season’s home kit will have a ‘non-hoop’ design, and the away shirt will have a hooped design.

Design context

We thought we’d provide some context to the inspiration behind the options:

Option 1 – A clean, simple and classy design inspired by our home kits from 1964/65 and 1980/81

Option 2 – A fresh, new design which puts the club badge at the heart of the shirt

Option 3 – A modern take on a quarters design, inspired by some of our first home kits, from around the turn of the 20th century

Option 4 – Taking inspiration from our popular current black third kit, this collared shirt features a pattern within the material representing train lines – a connection to this year’s 200th-anniversary celebrations of the Stockton / Darlington Railway
