Darlington Youth Under 13s ran out 5-1 winners of their first league game of the season away to Trimdon.

Another Corbyn Mitchell hat-trick in the opening 30 minutes gave Darlington the start they desired. The young Quaker now has 11 goals in only three games this season (eight of them in cups)

Matty Moody rounded of a comfortable first half, heading in a Liam Wynn corner.

Trimdon pulled a goal back early in the second period but Thomas Hindmarch put the result beyond any doubt with a very well taken free kick.

Man of the Match was awarded to Tom Horner by the Trimdon manager.

Darlington Youth U13 4 v Langley Park Hotspurs U13 2

Darlington Youth U13’s won an epic battle with Langley Park Hotspurs in a cup match, goals from Ryan Smithwhite, Kieron Wakefield, Tommy Hunt and Jackson Briggs were enough for Darlington to progress to the next round of the cup.

Coach Darren Robertson Snr said he was very pleased with the way the boys controlled the game from start to finish with fast flowing football.

This is the second time the two teams have meet within three weeks and both teams showed full commitment and at times playing some lovely football, with both teams being a credit to their respective parent clubs.

The under 15s progressed into the second round of the County Cup with an 8-0 win against Washington FC. In a one sided game Darlington went in at half time 3-0 up with two goals from Adam Bearpark and one from Harry Bates . The second half gave Quakers the chance to ease two long term injured players back onto the field and both Harry Noble and Bailey Howarth responded with a goal apiece. Adam Bearpark added his third and fourth and a fine individual effort by Bettridge finished the scoring.

Darlington Under 16s visited Blackfyne Bullets in the Durham FA County Cup. Darlington building on the positives taken from their previous performances, performed to a high standard of short quick build up play through midfield, creating two clear cut chances but failing to finish. This was the best half of football Darlington u16's had demonstrated and were unfortunate to go into half time one goal behind.

The Darlington performance dropped off in the second half as the players began to tire and not having the option to use substitutes. Passes started to go astray and touches bounced off feet. Darlington were then reduced to 10 players after a red card. Unfortunately, the hard work in the first half took full effect and after loss of concentration and legs, Darlo started to concede goals that they wouldn't have conceded with fresh legs. Final score Blackfyne Bullets 4 - 0 Darlington.

The Under 17s lost 3-2 at Washington.

They started well scoring in the 5th minute through Lewis Cox from a Jonty Gray corner, but they conceded the equaliser in the 20 min with a good finish from them.

Quakers went 2-1 through an individual error from the Quakers’ keeper, but they managed to equalise with a well taken goal from Joseph Smith.

However, Quakers lost the game in the 85th minute with another mistake from a direct ball over the top.

Overall lots of possession but poor discipline and concentration cost us the game .
