Last month, the Darlington FC Buddy Scheme joined forces with Darlington Support, with the aim of helping as many vulnerable people in the town as possible.

Joanne Cameron is one of the hard-working volunteers in the scheme, and said; "I speak to people daily that consider the work Darlington support do as a life line and have asked that post Covid -19 this work continues as things we take for granted, something as simple as our like our weekly shop, is often a a scary prospect when you are elderly and / or vulnerable. It's vital that we are able to reach out to the local community and show that we care and can help when needed."
