Darlington hope to return to winning ways at Ramsbottom United on Saturday.

The Quakers have failed to win any of their last three games, but they remain in second place in the league table.

The sides have already met in the league this season at Heritage Park, when Darlington came out on top, 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Nathan Cartman and Alan White. Ironically this was the Quakers' last victory.

Ramsbottom have had a disappointing start to the campaign and remain bottom of the table. They are yet to win a league game and have only picked up two points from their first ten games. The Rams are already six points off safety, having played more games than the three sides nearest to them in the table.

Manager Martin Gray said: "We only played them three weeks ago and beat them 2-1, but it was obvious that even though they were at the bottom of the table, they were in a false position.

"They're not to be underestimated, so we must stay focussed. Our standards are so important."

Defender Alan White, who received six stitches in an eye injury at Ilkeston on Monday night, is expected to be fit enough to start.

The game had been scheduled to be played next Tuesday, but was brought forward following both teams exits from the FA Cup.

Chris Hunter will be available for selection despite his red card on Monday night, his three game ban starts on the 5th of October.

Kick-off at Ramsbottom on Saturday is 3pm.
