Ray Simpson / 6th October 2025 Six different scorers
Darlington Football Club / 23rd August 2014 A brace from Darlington skipper Gary Brown wasn’t quite enough to give Quakers three points at Burscough on Saturday. Despite a host of chances, particularly during the second half, Darlington had to make do with a point in a 2-2 draw.
Darlington Football Club / 4th September 2014 Simon Hahn gives us his weekly round up. This week all of the sides from our division competed in the FA Cup preliminary round. It will take a side from our division five ties to qualify for the first round proper, but for all this was the first step.
Darlington Football Club / 25th September 2014 Simon Hahn brings us his regular round up Darlington’s recent struggles continued, as we picked up one point from our two games this week. On Saturday we lost 1-0 at home to league leaders Salford, before drawing 1-1 at Radcliffe Borough on Tuesday night. We are currently ninth in the league table, three points off the final playoff spot.
Darlington Football Club / 24th September 2014 Darlington were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Radcliffe Borough. Graeme Armstrong’s header midway through the second half equalised for Quakers, who looked unlikely to score until the hosts had taken the lead just after the break.
Darlington Football Club / 1st October 2014 Darlington striker Amar Purewal reached a half century of goals by grabbing a hat-trick to help take his team up to second in the table with a comfortable 7-1 win over Harrogate RA.
Darlington Football Club / 5th October 2014 Amar Purewal’s early penalty was enough to secure second-placed Darlington’s third successive win at Heritage Park against Padiham, who ended the game with nine men.
Darlington Football Club / 7th October 2014 AMAR PUREWAL continued his remarkable return from injury by blasting Darlington to a fourth successive win tonight at Brighouse Town.
Darlington Football Club / 8th November 2014 Apologies, a little later than usual but here's Simon's weekly round up Darlington continued their recent form this week, winning in both league and cup. At the weekend we won away at Scarborough Athletic in the FA Trophy 4-0. We then picked up a vital league victory over local rivals Spennymoor Town at Heritage Park on Wednesday night. Graeme Armstrong scoring the only goal of the game inside the first minute.
Darlington Football Club / 8th November 2014 n-form Darlington recorded an 11th successive win with another controlled performance today at Mossley.
Darlington Football Club / 12th November 2014 Darlington were presented with the October Team of the Month award last night – but they won’t be presented with the Dodson Sport League Cup after losing 3-1 on penalties to Whitby Town after being 3-0 up at one stage.
Darlington Football Club / 13th December 2014 Despite a makeshift defence and not having had a game for three weeks, Darlington enjoyed a magnificent 2-1 victory at in-form Bamber Bridge.
Darlington Football Club / 20th December 2014 Darlington missed an opportunity to become Christmas number one after dropping points at home to lowly Radcliffe Borough.
Darlington Football Club / 26th February 2015 Here's Simon Hahn's weekly EvoStik round up Darlington suffered back to back defeats this week, as we relinquished top spot in the league. At Kendal Town on Saturday we trailed 3-0 inside 15 minutes and despite goals from defenders Ian Watson and Alan White we lost the game, 4-2. The week did not get any better on Tuesday night, as we lost two straight games in the league for the first time this season at Farsley. Despite goals from Nathan Cartman and Terry Galbraith, we again were defeated, 3-2.
