Darlington's hopes of climbing into third place were crushed when they were beaten by fellow play off chasers Kidderminster tonight.
The visitors scored twice in the second half, one of the goals coming from David Davis, who played five games for Quakers on loan from Wolves in 2009, but didn't score.
Nervertheless, Quakers are still sixth in the table, five points ahead of the eighth placed club

Quakers had a chance in the third minute. Kidderminster keeper Jamie Pardington tried to play the ball short to a defender on the 18 yard line, but Jack Maskell got a toe to the ball, and then fired just over the top.
Maskell then put in a dangerous cross from the right that a defender put out for a corner, and from Will McGowan’s corner, Cedric Main headed wide.
Quakers had another chance on 9 minutes. Main cleverly beat his man in the centre circle and found Kallum Griffiths on the right, then he sprinted into the box to meet Griffiths’ return cross, but he headed just wide of the left hand post.
Then Tweedy retrieved a overhit corner on the far side and whipped a good cross into the middle that the Kidderminster defence struggled to get away.
They had a great chance on 23 minutes. Tweedy again put a great ball in from the left, the ball bounced off the keeper, and Maskell following up, couldn’t steer the ball home.
Quakers were denied two minutes later, when Maskell’s firm header from a McGowan corner was blocked on the six yard line.
Kidderminster though nearly took the lead on 34 minutes when a corner was curled in from the right for Richard Faakye to put over the bar from six yards
Half time 0-0
Quakers were behind within a minute of the restart, when former Darlington player David Davis, who played under Steve Staunton, sprinted clear of the defence and beat Watson with a low shot.
Quakers tried to hit back and McLaughlin made a good run forward and chipped the ball towards the far post, but Pardington held on.
Griffiths, out on the left, was given time to run towards the Kidderminster box and strike a right foot shot that Pardington pushed around the post
Quakers made their first sub on 63 minutes, Tom Allan coming on for Griffiths.
Soon after, Kidderminster nearly got a second when they broke away and the ball ran for Reece Devine, who rounded Watson, but Ben Hedley blocked his shot.
They made their second sub on 73 minutes, Jonah Lowes coming on for PLatt, then Maskell, who had taken a knock, was replaced by Aidan Rutledge.
Quakers kept battling away, and nearly levelled when Scott Barrow curled a free kick over from the left for Toby Lees to head over the top.
Then Main chased a through ball only for Pardington to come out of his area and clear as far as Rutledge, whose return effort was intercepted.
But Quakers were caught on the break on 85 minutes when Ryley Reynolds broke up the left, dribbled into the area, and beat Watson with a low shot.
