Aidan Rutledge

Position: Attacker

Aidan made his name with Birtley Town during the 2022/23 season, finishing as the Northern League Division Two’s leading scorer after an incredible return of 61 goals in 43 matches. His prolific form earned him a move to National League side Gateshead in the summer of 2023.

He gained valuable experience through a number of loan spells, including with Scarborough Athletic, where he scored nine goals in 23 appearances. Aidan also enjoyed a six-game loan spell with Darlington towards the end of the 2023/24 season, scoring twice and making an immediate impression.

During the 2024/25 campaign, Aidan spent time on loan with South Shields before joining Spennymoor Town, helping them reach the FA Trophy Final at Wembley against Aldershot Town. His performances earned him a permanent move to Darlington ahead of the 2025/26 season.

In his first full season with the Quakers, Aidan made 48 appearances and scored nine goals, establishing himself as an important attacking option. He now looks to build on that impressive return as he continues his journey at Blackwell Meadows.
