Will began his career at Leeds United before joining Accrington Stanley in 2012, where he made 90 appearances and scored nine goals, including an incredible four-goal haul in an FA Cup tie against AFC Fylde. He later enjoyed successful spells with FC Halifax Town and Guiseley, making over 150 appearances and scoring a number of memorable goals, including an FA Cup strike against Cambridge United.

Will first joined Darlington in 2019 and quickly established himself as a key figure in midfield before departing the club in 2022. He returned to Blackwell Meadows on a permanent deal in August 2023 and has continued to be one of the Quakers’ most influential players, becoming a firm favourite with supporters thanks to his leadership, work rate and eye for spectacular long-range goals and free-kicks. Across his two spells with the club, he has made 181 appearances and scored 25 goals, with memorable strikes against Needham Market and Kidderminster among the highlights.

The experienced midfielder made an excellent start to the 2025/26 campaign, scoring three goals in his first 12 appearances before injury brought his season to a premature end. Now fully focused on the 2026/27 season, Will will be aiming to return to his best and once again play a pivotal role in Darlington’s midfield.
