Dylan is a versatile attacker who is comfortable operating anywhere across the front line. He began his career in the Newcastle United Academy under current Darlington assistant manager Terry Mitchell, before signing his first professional contract with the Magpies in July 2021.

The forward gained first-team experience with Newcastle and scored against Al-Hilal in a friendly in December 2022. In January 2023, Dylan joined Scottish Championship side Hamilton Academical on a six-month loan, making 12 appearances and scoring once.

The following season, Dylan moved on loan to National League North side South Shields in January 2024, where he impressed by scoring eight goals in 18 appearances during the remainder of the campaign.

After leaving Newcastle United at the end of the 2023/24 season following the expiration of his contract, Dylan signed a two-year deal with National League side Dagenham & Redbridge. He made 21 appearances and scored three goals in his first season at that level, before featuring 47 times and scoring seven goals in the National League South last season.

Now joining Darlington, Dylan brings experience, versatility and attacking quality, and will be looking to provide another exciting option in the final third.

Manager’s Quote

“He’s a really exciting signing at the top end of the pitch. He’s somebody that can play as an attacking midfielder, or a wide man or as an out and out striker.

He’s a powerful runner, is a good age at 23, and has played over 100 games at our level and higher. I’m really excited that he’ll give us a really good attacking option. Terry has worked with him before at the Newcastle Academy and knows what he is about.”
