After playing youth football at Liverpool, he signed for Wigan in 2009, and stayed there for five years with loan spells at Barnet, Morecambe, Carlisle and Bury along the way.  He joined Accrington Stanley and had a season there, before his travels abroad started.

The 32 year old played in Belgium, Finland, Romania, Oman and Ireland before returning to England and playing for Warrington Rylands in the Northern Premier League last season.
