We’re excited to welcome Will Maddison into the first-team squad for the 2025/2026 season.

At just 19, Will is the son of former Darlington midfielder Neil Maddison. He made his senior debut in last season’s FA Cup tie at West Didsbury & Chorlton and has featured in several matchday squads since. Will has also played for our Under-23 side in the Wearside League and for Darlington Town in the Northern League.

Manager Steve Watson said:

“He's athletic and very confident on the ball. He's going to start pre-season with us, when we'll have a good close look at him. We don't know what his limitations are yet from what we've seen so far. It's good to have somebody of his age group in the squad.”
