Niall, who is 20, started his career at Liverpool at the age of 8, and played for the Reds Under 18 side at the age of 15 when Steven Gerrard was manager of that side.

Several clubs were interested in his progress, and he joined Newcastle in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has captained and played regularly for their Under 21 side.
